The "Gull River" flows out of Gull Lake travels south and feeds into the Shadow Lake Systems. It is less than 2 hours north of Toronto. Parts of the River was the home of the Canadian stop on the World Cup Kayak Slalom tour in both 1991 and 1993. The Gull River is a popular, dam-regulated, playboating area with a number of artificial features.
