Don't forget to follow these safety tips over the winter!

Don't place anything to close to a heater and never leave them unattended. Also, a gate in front of a fireplace will keep you safe and have your chimney sweeped annually! 

For safety outside clear all walkways in use, remove icicles, and don't let too much snow accumulate on trees near buildings or walkways. 

Cottage Life also said, "Ensure you have plenty of non-perishable food items, clean water, candles and battery-operate devices on-hand."
