Local Libraries celebrate Canada 150

The libraries in Kawartha Lakes are celebrating Canada 150 this summer with special, family-friendly events! Don’t miss a chance to learn djembe drum technique with Rhythmic by Nature or meet adorable baby farm animals from the Woolley Wonderland Farm. Enjoy comedy, juggling, and even amazing reptiles all at your local libraries in July and August. The TD Summer Reading Club is open to all children, just pick up a reading kit at any Kawartha Lakes library branch. Celebrate Canada 150 at Kawartha Lakes libraries

Many activities have been planned at Kawartha Lakes Public Library branches to help celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. Drums will be beating at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at the Fenelon Falls library. Contact the libraries to save a spot to learn hand-drumming techniques on djembe drums with Rhythmic by Nature.
