We have had a few weather warnings in Kawartha Lakes lately, from thunderstorms to heat warnings. Do you have a plan in place at the cottage? Whether for your own use or for renters, it's a good idea to outline the best course of action for possible hazardous weather situations. What's the fire plan? The best shelter from a storm or a tornado? Keep all the information in a binder that is easy to find and easily accessible. If you rent out your cottage, include those plans in the information you give to renters! A safe summer is a fun summer.

Severe weather warnings in place for parts of southern Ontario

UPDATE: There is no longer a tornado warning in southern Ontario. However, there are still heat and severe thunderstorm warnings, as well as severe thunderstorm watches, as of 12:45 a.m. ET. For the latest information in your area overnight, click here .
