So you found the perfect house for you - except for one problem. It currently has a tenant! Make sure you tread carefully in this situation and consult a professional. The Star said, "You can’t evict the tenant until and unless their lease has expired. If the tenant is paying month-to-month — meaning the lease has expired — you must give them adequate notice to vacate the property." Depending on the length of their lease, you may have to wait a while before you get to move in.
