Beer price floor dropping

Prepare yourself - the floor price of beer is dropping! The Globe and Mail said, "Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s government is lowering the price floor for beer in time for Labour Day weekend, and will have incentives for brewers that reduce their prices." Now, this doesn't necessarily mean all prices will drop because not all cans of beer currently sell at the minimum $1.25, many are more. However, this could make Labour Day celebrations a whole lot of fun!

Ontario to drop price floor on beer in time for Labour Day, Premier Ford announces

Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s government is lowering the price floor for beer in time for Labour Day weekend, and will have incentives for brewers that reduce their prices. But some beer-makers say that offering “buck-a-beer" is unrealistic without compromising quality. It was one of Mr. Ford’s signature campaign promises during the spring election, and on Tuesday the Ford government announced it was going ahead with a plan to lower the minimum price of a bottle or can of beer to $1 from the current $1.25.
