Gull River Levels Continue to Affect Large Lakes within City of Kawartha Lakes

The Gull River system is still affecting large lakes, particularly Balsam, Sturgeon, Cameron and Pigeon Lakes. Shoreline residents are advised to take precautions to protect themselves and their property and to use extra caution near the water. Residents are encouraged to access sandbags as needed, 24 hours a day at the locations below:

  • Dalton Community Centre (13 Rumohr Drive, Dalton)
  • Burnt River Public Works Depot (90 Burnt River Road)
  • Coboconk Public Works Depot (2863 County Road #48)
  • Bobcaygeon Works Yard (62 Duke Street, north side of the road)

Five roads remain closed as follows: Roads that have been reopened since last week are soft from flooding. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and travel slowly over flood-affected roads.
