Parking in Kawartha Lakes

We know how amazing Kawartha Lakes is, so we are not at all surprised that it is growing! But, with a growing city comes growing pains. Looking to the future, the city council is working on a parking strategy for the city. MyKawartha.com reported, "City council backed a staff proposal this week to spend $100,000 on a downtown parking strategy that calls for 531 new spaces to be developed by 2031." The majority of the parking spaces will be located in Lindsay, Fenlon Falls, and Bobcaygeon. 

Parking strategy needed to deal with expected growth in Kawartha Lakes

With the population of Kawartha Lakes expected to reach 100,000 in 13 years from now and 107,000 10 years after that, the city needs to act now to ensure a proper parking strategy is in place, municipal staff say. City council backed a staff proposal this week to spend $100,000 on a downtown parking strategy that calls for 531 new spaces to be developed by 2031.
