Life jacket rules being enforced

When it comes to recreational boating, life jackets are vital. They can save lives, and the law says there should be enough life jackets for every person on the boat. MyKawartha reported, "While patrolling Shadow Lake this past weekend, Kawartha Lakes OPP charged four separate boaters for not having enough life jackets on board. Const. Carrie Lanning says vessel operators will face a $240 fine if caught." The rules are being enforced on the lakes out there, so stay safe while you enjoy the end of your summer on the lake!
