Downtown Kawartha Lakes getting some upgrades

MyKawartha.com has reported that over $90,000 will be put into downtown Kawartha Lakes! They said, "The city is getting $92,213 to put toward upping pedestrian safety through crosswalks and enhancing the downtown core by landscaping. The funds can also be used by local businesses to improve storefront appearances including signage and lights." Projects like this are happening all over Ontario. Supporting small businesses is incred-inline-blockly important! We are thrilled to hear about the upgrades and can't wait to see how it turns out! 

Kawartha Lakes to receive over $90,000 for downtown upgrades

Kawartha Lakes has been picked as one of the rural communities that will receive funding under the Ontario government’s Main Street Revitalization Initiative. The city is getting $92,213 to put toward upping pedestrian safety through crosswalks and enhancing the downtown core by landscaping. The funds can also be used by local businesses to improve storefront appearances including signage and lights. Jeff Leal, minister of agriculture, food and rural affairs and the minister responsible for small business, announced the news in Toronto during the Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference.
