Pumpkin celebration!

It's going to be a whole pumpkin weekend in Keene! Starting October 12, the weekend will be packed with fun activities like the pumpkin pyramid lighting, horse and wagon rides, and even a great pumpkin weigh off! Don't miss the Carnevil at Keene United Church on Saturday form 11-3. MyKawartha said, "In addition to these highlights, an antique car show, local artists’ showcase, quilt and 50/50 raffle, and a kids’ zone will be held along with a straw bale maze, live entertainment, farmer vendors, pony rides, petting zoo, beer garden and axe throwing." Are you ready to get into the fall spirit?

Celebrate the great pumpkin in Keene on Oct. 13

Celebrate the pumpkin harvest in Keene next weekend. The 11th annual Keene Pumpkin Festival will kick off on Friday night, Oct. 12 with the Pumpkin Pyramid lighting event at dusk in the centre of the village. Once the lighting is done, you can head over to the 'Carnevil' at the Keene United Church. Visitors can expect a night of ghoulish fun until 9 p.m. The entry fee is $5. The 'Carnevil' will continue on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
