Calling all bird lovers

Do you love birds? Are you looking for a way to volunteer your time and help the environment? The Peterborough Field Naturalists are looking for volunteers to help with their annual Christmas Bird Count at Jack Lake on December 27. "Participants spend the day visiting various habitats  within a designated area and record both the number and species of birds observed.  Observations are subsequently summarized and forwarded to Bird Studies Canada as part of their long running program." They are also looking for volunteers willing to watch their bird feeders at their cottages! If you want to help out, email cdjonesmclark@gmail.com.
