Live Expert Auction

What: A live auction where you can bid on the services of various professionals – from financial advisors to home improvement specialists

When: Friday, November 4, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Where: Lakeview Arts Barn, 2300 Pigeon Lake Road in Bobcaygeon

Admission: $45 or $400 for a table of 10. Ticket includes hors d'oeuvres, live and silent auctions, a door prize, a dessert bar, and entertainment

More about the Auction: This is a fun spin-off of a live auction. The bidding process is the same. But instead of items, people’s services are on the auction block. Local experts are donating their time, and you will have the chance to bid on their services to take advantage of their expertise. What is up for auction? The services of 32 local experts are on the auction block. Everything from traditional services - financial, home, vehicle, and spa services – to experiences – like dinner with a boat chauffeur or yoga and dance lessons. Newfoundland Night 2016

What: Experience a “screech-in” ceremony and enjoy some fish and chips, and music by John Turner at the third annual Newfoundland Night in support of A Place Called Home

When: Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where: Coach and Horses, 16 York Street South, Lindsay

What is a “Screech-In?” The “screech-in” is a ceremony performed on non-Newfoundlanders involving a shot of screech, a short recitation, and the kissing of a cod fish. Saint Andrew’s Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon

What: Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church holds their annual Christmas bazaar and luncheon. Purchase baked goods, homemade meat pies, Christmas crafts, knitted items, and jewelry. Enjoy a delicious lunch of sandwiches, tea, and dessert. Please bring a shopping bag!

When: Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where: Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 89 Colborne Street in Fenelon Falls

Admission: $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for children aged 6 to 12, and children under five enter free of charge

Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon

What: A Christmas bazaar and luncheon. You can purchase gift shop items from the log cabin starting at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
