Head Lake
We bought this family cottage new, in an unfinished state, and have added our own personal touches since the purchase, to make it the way it is today. Rainy, sunny and snowy days are a picturesque site through the lakefront windows. We see spectacular sunrises and the winter snowfalls are magical.
The cottage has provided us with memories, shared with family and friends. There have been wonderful game nights, meals, horseshoe tournaments, happy hours, bonfires, fireworks, boating, swimming, ice skating on the lake, fishing, walks (winter and summer) and also two Christmas celebrations at the cottage. Our daughter even prepared for her Wedding Day at the cottage followed by a picnic the next day for our guests, the fall colours were amazing and a great time was had by all. Memories that will last forever.
We have a neighbourhood Cottage Association that keeps us well informed and we meet twice yearly, one being an end of summer for a BBQ.
Our children escape city life, just to come to the cottage for the tranquility that it provides. Each season brings new experiences and enjoyment, such as movies in Kinmount, rests in the hammock, Kawartha Dairy ice cream, golf, fall artist tours, as well as visits to Fenelon Falls, Coboconk and Bobcaygeon.
At the end of the day, we enjoy relaxing on the deck and watching the lake water glisten as the sunset shines on the opposite shoreline. The sound of loons can be heard, and what a beautiful sound it is. ‘The perfect time of day to reflect on how peaceful and beautiful cottage life is.
